MEET LEAH
HELLO AND WELCOME
My name is Leah, and I’m so happy you’re here.
I am a photographer based in Arizona during the Winter and Minnesota in the Summer, but available wherever your story calls home. I photograph weddings for couples who want something meaningful, not performative. Families who care more about presence than perfection. People who believe the non-traditional stories are the best ones, and want to document their life as it is.
I strongly believe in living each day to the fullest, and leaning into your unique life. Because of that, I also believe it should be remembered and celebrated — both the big and small moments. Having timeless photos with natural editing is incredibly important to the way I want my own life captured, so I want to always provide that same experience to anyone I have the opportunity to photograph.
Thank you for taking the time to be here, I hope to hear your story soon.
MY STORY
My love for photography began by capturing my favorite moments with family and friends while growing up in Minnesota. In college, that love evolved as I started creating with brands, documenting wedding days internationally, and slowly building what would become both my passion and my business.
Throughout my life, I’ve taken every opportunity to travel, hear different stories, and witness the beautiful ways people celebrate around the world. I hiked my camera deep into mountain ranges, carried it to dozens of countries in my bag in place of clothes, and shot in extreme conditions — all to be able to capture the moments and stories I wanted to remember most. During my days at home, I dedicated my time to crafting my aesthetic, personally editing every image by hand to preserve a completely human and true-to-life quality that that remains a priority to this day.
Then, when my husband and I were planning our wedding, we chose not to follow the traditional path. We invited 15 of our closest people to Carmel, California (a city we lived in and fell deeply in love with). We wandered our favorite trail in the morning, followed by a pool dip and some golf with family and friends. We said our vows in the afternoon with just the ocean behind us and tears in our eyes. We danced to our favorite songs on a portable speaker and laughed to stories by the bonfire the rest of the evening.
It wasn’t traditional. It wasn’t trendy. But it was perfectly us.
I believe in documenting love and life in a way that’s rooted in who you are, not who the internet says you should be. I believe in slowing down, in letting things unfold organically, and capturing the true emotion behind the moment. It’s about being present with the ones you love, in a place you deeply cherish. These experiences have shaped the way I approach photography today, influencing my professional work and providing me the great privilege to capture love stories in people’s favorite places around the world.
